Horizon Honors Schools is excited to announce that we are using the Raptor Visitor Management System to strengthen campus safety for our entire community. Part of keeping our community safe is knowing who is in our buildings at all times, and the Raptor system will allow us to do that.  The Raptor system will better allow us to screen visitors in our schools and provide us with a safer environment for our students and staff.

For all visitors to campus during school hours (INCLUDING PARENTS/GUARDIANS:)

  1. Upon entering a Horizon Honors School Office, a visitor will need to present a driver’s license or other U.S. government issued ID.
  2. The Raptor system will check to ensure that registered sexual offenders are not entering our school campuses without our knowledge.  The Raptor system checks the visitor's name and date of birth for comparison with a national database of registered sex offenders.  The registered sex offender database is the only official database checked by the Raptor system.  No other data from the ID is gathered or recorded and the information is not shared with any outside agency.
  3. Once entry is approved, Raptor will issue a badge that identifies the visitor, the date, and the purpose of his/her visit.  A visitor’s badge will not be necessary for those who visit our schools simply to drop off an item in the office or conduct front office business.
  4. The next time a visitor comes to campus that has already been processed in the Raptor system, he/she may use the self-serve kiosk to sign in with a driver's license/ U.S. government issued ID and print a visitor badge.
  5. If you are a parent escorting your Elementary School student to a classroom and/or attending Morning Meeting, you do NOT need to check in at the office. However, if you plan to be on campus after drop off and/or Morning Meeting, you must check in at the office.
  6. All visitors who leave campus prior to 3:45 p.m. must return to an office and check out via the self-serve kiosk.

Please plan to ALWAYS have your driver's license/ U.S. government issued ID with you when you visit campus.

For students who arrive to campus late to school:

  • Students without a parent/guardian will check in via the self-serve kiosk at the front office. Younger students will receive assistance checking in. Students not accompanied by a parent/guardian will need to be called in via the Attendance Line at 480-659-3062.
  • Students with a parent/guardian will be checked in by front office staff.
  • A late pass will print for the student to take to the classroom.

For students leaving school early or have a release in their schedule:

  • Anyone checking out a student early will show ID to verify identity and will be scanned into the Raptor System (first time only.) Normal student check out process will proceed.
  • Students with a release in their schedule may use the self-serve kiosk to check out.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and your support in enhancing the schools' safety protocols.
